Mr. Holmes built the first China focused education investment company as CEO during which time the investment portfolio grow by 130% and net assets by £5.5m, and he turned year on year losses into a profit of £1.1m. Student numbers at investee Colleges grew by 11,000 and the Hello China training programme became the largest non-government education programme in the world at the time.
He then became CEO of a financial services business and during his tenure, client numbers grew by 69,000, assets under administration by some £1bn and seven new offices were opened growing the team to 150.
He has since built his own investment company, guiding four of the businesses towards listings and now having a portfolio valued at some 40m euros after four years. Mr. Holmes serves as Chairman of the Governors of a London College, he also served as Honorary Chancellor of one Chinese College and Honorary President of another College in recognition of his work attracting overseas investment into Chinese education using a route which eventually led to over $1bn being invested.
Mr. Pedersen holds a Master Degree of Finance from the Business School of Aarhus, Denmark from 2002.
He was hired as the Director of a retail company immediately after graduation, and within 2 years he took ownership of the company via a Management Buy-Out. In 2009 he seized the opportunity to sell the business.
Mr. Pedersen established an investment company specifically for the Solar Energy sector in 2009, and in 2011, the company managed Solar Plant investments for more than USD 150 million in Germany, Spain and Italy. In 2011 Mr. Pedersen sold this venture and has since moved his interests into structured corporate bonds and also acquired a share in an Oil Depot and Refinery.
Through his well-established network he has continued his funding work and also assists in the management of companies including several publicly listed companies.
